Amazon and John Lewis Announce That They Will Deliver This Christmas

John Lewis is making plans to ensure that any Royal Mail strike action does not prevent gifts reaching customers this Christmas. It is working with several alternative carriers which will carry on delivering online purchases up until Christmas.
The current postal strikes could lead to many stores replacing the Post Office completely if they prove themselves to provide consistent services this winter.
The strikes are bad news for the smaller online retailer as alternative couriers are often too expensive for small orders.
